Trump Leads by 2%, Harris Polls Well Against Trump

The Harris Poll Reputation Corporate Strategy Practice has released a poll showing Donald Trump leading Kamala Harris by 2 percentage points nationally, with Trump polling at 48% and Harris at 46%. This is a slight decrease from Trump's 19-point lead over Biden in the same poll before Biden withdrew from the 2024 contest.

Harris has been polling similarly to Biden or slightly better against Trump in polls taken before Biden's withdrawal. In a Washington Post average of 11 post-debate polls, Trump edged out Harris by 15 percentage points, only slightly less than his 19-point lead over Biden in the same poll.

The poll also found that Harris has higher favorability ratings than Trump, with 53% of voters viewing her favorably and 42% viewing her unfavorably. Trump's favorability ratings are 41% favorable and 54% unfavorable.
